Summary

As they saturated themselves with God's Word upon completion of the wall, the people of Jerusalem respond in worship, sorrow, joy, obedience AND prayer...even with such a long prayer as recorded in Ch. 9. As God's people in Christ, the local church must not compromise on being a people of the Word and prayer as well. Throughout our congregational life and personal life specifically, we must not neglect adoration and confession.
