Summary

Jesus prays in the garden that the Father would remove the cup of his wrath -- which he would endure on the cross -- from him. Ultimately, Jesus yields his will to the Father. As Mark describes these events, Jesus' worth as the new Adam is confirmed, and the weakness and need of mankind for such a new Adam is further revealed.
