The Greek word “koinonia” is usually translated fellowship. It literally means “a sharer”, “a companion”, or “one who is a partaker.” The early church experienced true fellowship. Evidence of this truth was the signs and wonders by the Apostles and words like together, common, and distributed. They realized that true fellowship means demonstrating genuine care for each other and meeting each others needs. It also helped tremendously that they were in “one accord.” We, like them, must strive to maintain a singular focus to serve God and serve each other.
