Until Jesus comes, continue steadfastly/be devoted to prayer.
Colossians 4:2-6
“proskatereo” - “adhere to, be devoted to, be steadfastly attentive unto, give unremitting care to” (Strong’s) - prayer.
Through prayer, we are kept alert.
Through thanksgiving, our attitude is aligned.
With prayer as our starting point & pathway, we can make the best use of our time.
Pray in the Spirit - Ephesians 6:18, Jude 1:20
Pray faithfully for:
1)Your own Christian walk - 3:1-17 (*need not post)
2)Your marriage - 3:18-19 (and those of others)
3)Your children/family - 3:20-21
4)Your witness at work - 3:22-25
5)Your co-workers
6)Your employer/boss/employees - 4:1
7)The work of God throughout the world/our area - 4:2-4
8)Your witness & that of our church - 4:5-6
The unsaved you know
9)Your brothers & sisters in Christ - 4:7-17 (*need not post)
10)The soon return of the King, Christ Jesus - I Corinthians 16:22, Revelation 22:20

John 3:8 – You don’t know where it comes from or where it goes. Let go control; surrender to the will of God and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Do we really want to share in His sufferings?
Ephesians 5:18
1 John 5:3 – This is the LOVE OF GOD, that controls us when we are full of His spirit. We are able to obey and it is NO BURDEN!
2 Corinthians 5:14, Galatians 5: 22-23. Acts 20:22-23
*controls: constrained; bound by the the Holy Spirit (ex. Paul)
Acts 21:4 -God’s ways are higher than our mine.
Ecclesiastes 11:5

Until Jesus comes - let us celebrate His 1st coming like the angels - give like the Magi
- see Him clearly as He is
- let everyday be Christmas and Resurrection Day
- let Christ be born and formed in us by faith
Colossians 3:12-17
The same Jesus whose birth the angels proclaimed is the difference maker in the lives of the redeemed.
I)The Love of God is in our hearts - vs12-14
Love is exhibited by compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, forbearance & forgiveness.
II)The Peace of Christ rules in our hearts - vs15
III)Thankfulness for Christ underlines everything - vs15
IV)The Word of Christ lives in us - vs16
V)The glory & honor of Christ is our motivation -vs17
Until He comes, celebrate His coming, give Him your life, see Him as He is, & let Him be born and formed in you.
