a.) What did God put in Nehemiah's heart to do and what happens next? (vs. 5)
b.) Why would God want Nehemiah to enroll His people in a genealogy? (Jer 32:37-41)
II.)THE IRREVOCABLE Calling OF GOD.
a.) Why would this genealogy be so careful to distinguish those of unknown ancestry from those of true Israelite descent? (Deut 14:2; 10:12-13; Jer 31:33; see also Gen 12:2-3; Isa 46:9-10; Rom 8:28-30; Rom 11:29; Eph 1:11)
b.) Why should we consider this aspect of the genealogy, namely how it signifies the irrevocable calling of God?
i. Because our whole Salvation experience. (Jn 6:44, 2 Tm 1:9; 1 Pt 2:9)
ii. Because our Gospel Witness and Ministry. (Jn 16:8-11; Rom 10:17; Titus 3:4-8).
