Summary

It is a part of our stock cultural imagery that each of us has an angel standing on one of our shoulders and a devil on the other. And both the angel and the devil are versions of us, persuading us to good or evil in any given situation. But is this imagery reflective of a real truth? Are we made up of two natures? The apostle Paul describes only one nature for those not found in Christ: the flesh. And one nature for those in Christ: the Spirit.
