Summary

As a child, I thought the song "Father Abraham" was speaking about Abraham Lincoln. Eventually, I found out that it was referring to Abraham of the book of Genesis. I also realized that as I sang that song at such a young age, I was singing a lie. I was not a son of Abraham, because I did not have a faith like his in the eternal promises of God. I did not at that time bank my life on God's promises in Jesus Christ. Are you a son of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ?
