Secular psychologists would say that one of the most important things about us is what we believe about our personal identity. How we view ourselves will determine how we act, how we relate to others, what we say, and the decisions we make. Our culture defines our significance by various criteria—our possessions, production, popularity, or personality. But how does God see us? Thankfully, long before modern psychologists identified the importance of personal identity, the apostle Paul addressed this issue.
