Summary

Greetings, Last week we talked about what Son blocks are in our life. This week I want to talk about road blocks. James 1:19 tells us to "be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." The righteousness that God desires cannot be seen in our life when we don't listen, talk too much, and express selfish anger. These are road blocks. This not only blocks Christ's work in our own life but also blocks others from seeing Christ in us. Verse 22 says, "Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." Wow! What a concept. Doing and living the life of Christ Jesus or what the Word says. They are one in the same. This brings about a different kind of road block. But this road block is for your benefit. When we apply the Word to our lives it blocks fear of the adversary. So let's get into God's Word and do what it says. YFIC, Pastor Doug
