We must commit ourselves to the teaching and studying of God's word. Gather together for church and fellowship for encouraging each other. Prayer, praise and worship must become a part of our fabric. These things are crucial to remain strong.

Prayer is one of the most vital and difficult things that we do. Often when we pray for things, we are actually "hoping" for them. We believe God can but will He? We try to pray and our minds wander and we get distracted. We must press in to seek God and pray in real faith.

Wonder why our prayers don't to go anywhere and we give up? We don't understand spiritual warfare. We don't see that there are forces working against us. We must push through the resistance. When we do in faith, our prayers will enter an open window in heaven.

This sermon begins with praise and worship then transitions to wonder working power. Jesus came and died to give us access to the Father. He came to give us power to overcome the things of this world. Jesus came in power to give us hope and make us righteous before God.

God gives life to dead things. He gives life to those who were lost but now are found. He gives life to dreams and prophecies we have forgotten or let die. He gives life to hearts that the flame has grown dim. He gives life to churches that have lost their zeal.

There is a way we can measure our love toward God. There is evidence to gauge how deep our love is for Him. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments. We need to evaluate our lives to see if the thermometer rises.

When we see people, do we really see them? Do we just glance and move on? Do we notice if people are having a tough time? Jesus looked at people with compassion. He reached out to them and did not refuse them even when in sin.

2015 will resemble the Book of Ezra. The Jews had been in captivity for seventy years. This year will mirror Ezra. It will require that the temple is restored, preaching of the word and repentance of the people. Extravagant praise and worship returned to the hearts of the people. The altars will be restored for repentance and prayer.

Simeon was promised to live to see the Savior. Jesus was taken to the temple when he was 8 days old. Simeon held the baby and praised God for keeping His promise. Simeon was faithful and never gave up on the promise. Have your ever received a promise from God? Maybe, a prophecy? Let's be like Simeon. Be faithful and never give up.
