Isaiah's name means Yahweh saves. Isaiah preached about how Israel had made their own gods and offered false worship. This is like the church today. We play church and look good. We have no power and influence. God is not pleased with this. We need Yahweh.

Part-time Christian? God wants us either hot or cold. Serving Him or the world. We can't do both. We must make up our minds. Choose this day who you will serve. It is our choice.

We tend to do just enough to get by in relationships, work and serving God. Jesus did more than enough. He reminded us that we should not commit murder. However, he did more than enough. He taught us that if we hate our brother we have committed murder. He took things to another level.

Jesus is returning soon. The Bible is clear that there will be a great falling away of the saints. Do not be deceived by false teachers and prophets. We must be on guard and prepare for His return. Are we helping other prepare?

Jesus is coming again. This world will be destroyed by fire and there will be a new heaven and new earth. There is a judgment day for all people. People who reject Jesus as Savior will be eternally tormented in hell.

Ever wonder why teachers give tests? Tests determine where to begin and how to address deficiencies. In school, we cannot pass to the next grade without passing tests. God does much the same thing to us. He tests us to see if we're ready for the next phase. If not, we continue to study.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus and the disciples would pray for people and they were delivered of unclean spirits. Unclean spirits are much like flies. They are drawn to dead things.

We must learn of Jesus. The disciples recognized that he was a Rabbi with s'mikha, authority. They left their businesses and followed him. They learned of Him daily and continued the Kingdom after He ascended to heaven.

Paul reminded Timothy of the faith that first with his grandmother Lois and mother Eunice. Timothy was taught the Old Testament scriptures by these women. They sowed seeds of the Kingdom and prepared him for his destiny.

Jesus is the King, the anointed One. His anointing breaks the yoke of sin and law. Jesus' anointing was very fragrant. When we spend time with Jesus, his anointing transfers to us. His anointing empowers us to do the work of the Kingdom.
