Although things may come against us, there is protection for our souls. Jesus is our Shelter, our Refuge, our Rock. Let us sing praises to His name.

We are the temple of God. What does the temple of God have in common with unrighteousness? We are to separate our selves from the things of the world. We need to check our hearts and see if we are seeking the Kingdom of God.

We do not realize the power of our words. We gossip, criticize and put down others. The Bible calls this cursing. Instead, we are to encourage, build up.

There are 2 types of discipline. The first is used to correct bad behavior. The second is training that perfects moral character. Both are used to mold us in the image of God.

There are two types of treasures. The first is earthly treasure that fades when we die. The other is the treasure we store for eternity. Which treasure do you seek?

Jesus came to set the captive free. We must learn to live in that freedom. We do this by learning, obeying and trusting His Word. We must fellowship with other believers.

It only takes a second to look around and see we do not fear God. We sin and do not have regret that leads to repentance. No fear.

2 Peter 2:1-4. We must know the Word of God. There are false prophets who teach doctrines that please men and do not honor Jesus. Many will fall away for a lack of knowledge of the Truth of the Bible. Do not be deceived.

We need to be ready to preach the truth of God without compromise. The truth must be taught to expose lies and set people free from bondage. The truth will expose false preachers and leaders.

Do we love our neighbors as Jesus loves us? Do we have compassion like the Samaritan who cared for the man that was robbed, beaten and left for dead? Do we act like the priest or Levite (religious people) who walked by and did not help?
