We invest in people who are not interested in Jesus while we miss the ones who are hungry. The last group should become first. The same could be said about other things in our lives. We do things that have no eternal value. Most of the time these things are first. These first things should become last.

The physical circumcision was performed on Jewish males at the age of 8 as a sign of covenant with God. Although this is important, the true circumcision is of our hearts. God wants our hearts to be tender toward Him and allow Him to cut away the things of our flesh.

God demonstrated His love toward man that while we were sinners Jesus died for all. We must learn to walk in that same love. One of the most important ways is to be quick to forgive. We must learn not to take offense when others do or say things to hurt us.

The Word is good seed. Our hearts are the soil in which it is planted. When our hearts are hard, full of worldly desires and a lack of appetite for the things of God, the seed gets choked. When we accept and obey the Word, our hearts become good soil for a harvest. We must continue to prepare our hearts so we can produce a harvest.

Jesus was given all authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus sent out the disciples to teach and release the kingdom of God just as He did. We have received that same authority. We must receive and believe this authority in the confidence of who we are in Christ.

The word of God is like a hammer. Much like hammers and sledgehammers that were used to tear down the Berlin wall, the word of God can be used to bring down walls and strongholds in our lives.

God's word is true whether or not we believe it. Mary received and believed the prophecy of carrying the Christ child. She did not question it. Much of our problem is that we do not know the Bible. We do not know the mind and will of God. Our faith must agree with God's word.

Many people have gone before us showing us how to walk with God. They are our fathers in the faith. It is through their examples that we can be inspired. They helped pave a way for others to follow.

Any contractor will tell you the most important part of any house is the foundation. If the foundation is not laid correctly, the rest of the house will be off. It is critical that our spiritual "houses" are built on solid foundations. We must make sure we are building according to God's word and using the correct tools.
