Summary

Old black-and-white films often had a different sensibility of acting, not paralleling real-life reactions and emotions. Do we perceive that the people in the Bible have a similar disconnect with real world reactions and emotions? We must look at the response of Nehemiah for the disgraced people of God, and have a similar response to our threatened church. We must cry out to God for mercy because of His great power.
